The MagicOS 8.0 interface, powered by Android 14, powers the Honor Magic 6 and Magic 6 Pro.

Today (February), at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2024 in Barcelona, the Honor Magic V2 lineup and the Honor Magic 6 series made their premiere internationally. The most recent smartphones in the Magic 6 series are powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC and run MagicOS 8.0, a skin based on Android 14. Conversely, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC-powered Honor Magic V2 foldable smartphones come with the MagicOS 7.2 UI, which is based on Android 13. With its triple back cameras and LTPO OLED display, the Honor Magic 6 series is impressive. Their dust and water resistance is certified IP68. The Chinese market currently offers the Honor Magic V2 and Honor Magic 6 series.

Pricing and availability for the Honor Magic V2 and Honor Magic 6 series

The Honor Magic 6 Pro’s price for the 12GB RAM + 512GB storage model is EUR 1,299, or approximately Rs. 1,16,600. Pre-orders will be accepted beginning on February 25 and sales will begin on March 1.

The Honor Magic V2 RSR with 16GB RAM and 1TB storage is priced at EUR 2,699, or around Rs. 2,42,000. Reservations will open on February 25 and sales will begin in Europe on March 18.

Specifications for the Honor Magic 6 and Honor Magic 6 Pro

The 6.78-inch full-HD+ (1,264×2,800 pixels) OLED display of the dual SIM (Nano) Honor Magic 6 and Magic 6 Pro runs on the MagicOS 8.0 interface, which is based on Android 14. The refresh rate of the display can be adjusted from 1Hz to 120Hz. The 4nm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, together with a maximum 1TB storage capacity and up to 16GB of RAM, powers both variants.

The 180-megapixel 2.5x periscope telephoto camera with optical image stabilization (OIS) capability and a 100x digital zoom are part of the triple rear camera array that comes with the Honor Magic 6 Pro. 5G, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax/be, Bluetooth, GPS/AGPS, Galileo, GLONASS, Beidou, NFC, OTG, and a USB Type-C connector are among the connectivity choices available on the Honor Magic 6 series. There are several sensors on board, such as a proximity sensor, color temperature sensor, gyroscope, accelerometer, and compass. The Honor’s Magic V2 made its debut in September of last year at IFA 2023. Later, the business announced the Honor Magic V2 RSR, a limited edition foldable phone with a unique design and Porsche Agate Grey color. This was made possible by a collaboration with Porsche Design. MagicOS 7.2, which is based on Android 13, powers both the Honor Magic V2 and Honor Magic V2 RSR.
