This is a possible design for Google’s upcoming Pixel Fold smartphone.

Renders of the Google Pixel Fold 2, the rumored follow-up to the original Pixel Fold, have surfaced online thanks to a tipster. The foldable phone is shown from a variety of perspectives. These pictures imply that the Pixel Fold 2 won’t likely include a horizontal camera visor, in contrast to the company’s most recent Pixel-branded smartphones. The dimensions of the foldable phone’s inner and outer displays, along with the new camera island design, are visible in the leaked photos of the device.

In association with Smartprix, tipster Steve Hemmerstoffer (@OnLeaks) released CAD-based renders of the Pixel Fold 2. These pictures display the foldable smartphone’s exterior and interior designs in a charcoal (dark gray) color scheme. They also indicate where various parts, including as the camera module, buttons, and USB port, are located.

The primary distinction between the second-generation Pixel Fold and the company’s latest smartphone models, the Pixel 8 and Pixel 7 series, is the redesigned camera island that takes the place of the visor design. Three cameras and an LED flash are displayed on this camera module.

The Pixel Fold 2 will feature a 6.4-inch outside screen with rounded corners and a punch cutout for the selfie camera in the center of the screen. The phone has an internal 7.9-inch display when it is unfolded. The inner screen’s upper right corner appears to have a camera sensor, which is presumably where the under-display camera is located, according to the renders.

Other, smaller components, such as the foldable phone’s buttons, are also seen in the leaked renders. When the screen is unfolded, the power and volume controls are located on the right side. The article claims that the bottom edge has a USB Type-C connector, a second speaker grille, a SIM card slot, and a microphone, while the top edge simply has an antenna band and a speaker grille.

Although these are the first renders from a reputable leaker that offer us a close-up view of the rumored Pixel Fold 2, it’s important to view these pictures cautiously because Google hasn’t yet revealed its intentions to release a second-generation foldable phone. According to earlier rumors, the phone will be powered by Google’s Tensor G4 chip and run Android 14. In June 2023, Google unveiled the original Pixel Fold; hence, in the upcoming months, more information regarding its rumored successor should become available.
