WhatsApp developers recently updated the Android beta app with a new feature that lets users edit and add contacts without having to leave the app.
WhatsApp, the instant messaging platform used by billions of people worldwide, is one of the most updated apps ever. Recently, WhatsApp released a new feature in beta for the Android platform that allows users to add or edit contacts without leaving the app.
WhatsApp used to have a shortcut to quickly add contacts, but this feature used the phone’s default Contacts app. But his latest WhatsApp beta for Android lets users quickly add new contacts to their lists without leaving the app.
If you’re enrolled in his WhatsApp beta program on the Google Play Store and want to see if this feature is available, open your contact list in WhatsApp and tap the New Contact button. If this feature is available, you will be taken to a new screen within the app where you will be asked for contact information such as name, last name, contact number and where the information is stored.
With this feature, you can not only add new contacts, but also edit existing contact information. This is a huge convenience compared to the old process where WhatsApp switched to the Contacts app. It looks like the developer is currently rolling out this feature to beta testers. So if new features aren’t available on your device, it may take some time to appear.
