Biological Feedbacks in Global Desertification Studies of ecosystem processes on the Jornada Experimental home in southern New Mexico suggest that longterm grazing of semiarid grasslands results in a rise within the spatial and temporal heterogeneity of water, nitrogen, and other soil resources.
